PURPOSE: To provide a driving force controller for a vehicle capable of preventing shock in transition to a disengaged state, during traveling, of a clutch interposed between a driven source and a driven wheel. CONSTITUTION: When changing from a four wheel drive state to a two wheel drive state and disengaging the clutch 12 during traveling, motor torque is maintained constant, and the maintained torque is used as clutch disengaging torque required as output by a motor for reducing torque in the clutch 12 to substantially zero. At this time, disengagement of the clutch is prohibited while a brake pedal is stepped on. |
