PURPOSE: A control method for a home network system is provided to use UI(User Interface) and function information of slave products by automatically uploading UI and function information of the slave products in a master device and a PVR(Personnel Video Recorder). CONSTITUTION: After a master device is initially set up(S401), the master device confirms the connection state of slave products connected to an HNCP(Home Network Control Protocol) network(S402). The master device checks whether the slave products have independent UI and function information(S403) and requests the slave products to upload corresponding information(S404). The slave products transmit UI and function information to the master device, and the master device stores UI and function information(S405). The master device communicates with the slave products by uploaded UI and function information through the HNCP network(S407).
