<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planning support system that ensures demand forecasting necessary to draft a production plan, with high precision with a small forecasting error, and increases the processing speed of demand forecasting by reducing total computational complexity. <P>SOLUTION: The planning support system comprises a demand collection part 1 for storing order quantities of products from a plurality of customers in a demand database 3 for every customer identification number, a past demand database 4 for storing each customer's past order quantities for every customer over a given period, and a change analysis part 5 for computing a change in demand for products from the order quantities and past order quantities, and computing demand forecasting of products by given statistical processing according to the change. The demand collection part 1 groups a plurality of customers who have a given order quantity or less out of the plurality of customers, and handles the group of customers with an identification number as one independent customer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
