<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting means capable of discriminating varieties, even when the plants of closely-related varieties are discriminated, having high safety, and capable of being easily handled, and to provide a detecting method. <P>SOLUTION: A micro-array is used as the detecting means, wherein an oligonucleotide capable of discriminating the varieties of the plants is held on the micro-array. Especially, the micro-array which is given by holding the oligonucleotide capable of discriminating the varieties of the plants in a fiber, bundling and fixing two or more threads of the fibers to form a bundled/fixed fiber material, and cutting the bundled/fixed fiber material in the direction crosswise to the longitudinal direction of the fiber is preferably used. Further, a hollow fiber is preferably used as the fiber for composing the micro-array for a bio-related substance. Preferably the oligonucleotide is held through a gel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
