METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING BLOOD PRESSURE USING DUTY CYCLE OF PRESSURE PULSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillometry measuring method which can eliminate the complexities of measuring pulse amplitude and can be used instead of conventional methods.

SOLUTION: A method (300) for processing oscillometry blood pressure pulse data obtained from a subject is provided. In one embodiment, the method (300) comprises a step for identifying the blood pressure pulse cycle in a cardiac cycle and a step for detecting the duration time of the blood pressure pulse from the blood pressure pulse cycle. Duty cycle of blood pressure pulse regarding the blood pressure pulse cycle is then calculated and the calculated duty cycle is used to evaluate the selected blood pressure parameters.
