PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a bottle while ensuring the adaptability of the bottle to a bender in the bottle which is accommodated in a vending machine and capable of reducing the weight of the entire bottle without impairing the load-proof strength of a barrel portion of the plastic bottle formed of polyethylene terephthalate or the like. SOLUTION: A plastic bottle 10 having a mouth portion 11, a shoulder portion 12, a barrel portion, and a bottom portion 14 comprises a thin-walled portion 13a formed on a center portion of the barrel portion 13, and further comprises a first thick-walled portion 13b and a second thick-walled portion 13c in the height direction of the bottle across the thin-walled portion 13a.
