PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission in which breather blow is prevented by preventing oil discharged from a drain oil passage from scattering to a rotary drum or the like. SOLUTION: In this automatic transmission 1, the drain oil passage 59 communicating an oil sump chamber 57 with an inside of a transmission case 7 is formed in a pump case 21. A retainer 67 is arranged as a shielding member to shield at least between a discharge port 59a of the drain oil passage 59 and a drum member 76, part of a multistage transmission mechanism, or the like. Accordingly the breather blow generated when operating oil is scattered to the drum member 76 rotating at high speed or the like and stirred is surely avoided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
