PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide film which inhibits to cause slipping and thickening in winding at high temperature and humidity, can increase the tape length per reel, and can increase the recording capacity. SOLUTION: A polymer sheet containing a solvent and an aromatic polyamide is stretched 1.05-1.1 times at 10-40°C or lower, and then the resulting film is longitudinally stretched 1.3 times or more in total at 80-150°C to form an aromatic polyamide film having a humidity expansion coefficientβND in the thickness direction which meets: 0≤βND≤150(×10<SP>-6</SP>1/RH%) and a peak of the secondary dispersion to be obtained from a viscoelasticity-temperature curve present in the range of 120-280°C.
