PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data storage and delivery technique capable of improving the reliability and operability of delivery by significantly reducing delivery data quantity by delivering not accumulated image data themselves but link information for the image data. SOLUTION: A digital copying machine 1 has a scanner 12 for reading an image on a document, a local storage 13 for storing read image data, and a system control part 11 for storing and managing the image data in a local storage so as to be accessible by page. The system control part 11 forms link information related to the image data stored in the local storage 13, and delivers the link information consisting of information showing a specified page of the image data and image data linked to the page from a network delivery part 14 according to an instruction. The system control part further reads, on receipt of a browsing request of the image data shown by the link information from a delivery destination of the link information, the image data from the local storage 13, and delivers it to the delivery destination.
