PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability and reliability in operation of a turn type and storage type assist grip provided with a pair of mounting seats, a grip main body supported turnably in a leg part, a twist coil spring rotatably applying a force to the grip main body from a use position to a storage position, and a damper means suppressing turn of the grip main body from the use position to the storage position. SOLUTION: In this storage type assist grip, a recessed part 28 is formed in a support part 26 of the second mounting seat 12 as the damper means 24, a fitting shaft 31 whose tip part is positioned on a bottom part side of the recessed part 28 and whose terminal part is inserted into a locking port part 4 on a side wall of a storage part 2 in the leg part 1b and is locked to prevent its turn is turnably fitted in the recessed part 28, and a plurality of four cutout channels 38, 38 extending in the direction of axial line are provided on an outer peripheral face of the fitting shaft 31. Viscous agent L is filled into a clearance between an inner peripheral face of the recessed part 28 and the outer peripheral face of the fitting shaft 31, a clearance between an inner bottom face of the recessed part 28 and a tip face of the fitting shaft 31, and inside the cutout channels 38.
