A container for carrying tunnel building sections has a flat rectangular base (4) with two upright end walls (9, 10) and with the side walls as short sections (6, 6a, 6b) attached to the end walls and leaving an open gap in the centre of each side. The tunnel sections are stacked into the container with fork lift access from either side. The floor is further reinforced by integral cross braces (12). The container can be made in any suitable size and has a support frame fitted with rectangular panels.
