ROLLING WHEEL FOR CRAWLER TYPE TRAVEL DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a rolling wheel for a crawler type travel device capable of coping with high speed traveling and excellent in durability and reliability. CONSTITUTION: This rolling wheel is provided with a shaft 1 and a roller 3 rotatably supported on the shaft 1 through a bearing mechanism 2 and is to be used for the crawler type travel device. The bearing mechanism 2 is provided with a pair of tapered roller bearings 45 and 46 externally fitted to the shaft 1. A restraint member 52 is interposed between the tapered roller bearings 45 and 46 to restrain the inner races 47 and 47 of the tapered roller bearings 45 and 46 from sliding toward each other. Sealing devices S and S are arranged outside the tapered roller bearings 45 and 46 to hermetically seal between a rotary side and a fixed side. With the tapered roller bearings 45 and 36 and the sealing devices S and S secured, the inner races 47 and 47 of the tapered roller bearings 45 and 46 are pressed against the restraint member 52.
