An improved structure of a gas sensor is provided which is designed to establish firm electric connections between electrode terminals formed on opposed major surfaces of a sensor element and lead wires leading to an external device through a connector. The connector includes terminal connecting springs and holding members working to clamp the sensor element through the terminal connecting springs elastically to establish elastic contact of the terminal connecting springs with the electrode terminals of the sensor element. This structure is easy to manufacture and secures firm electrical connections between the terminal connecting springs and the electrode terminals. <IMAGE> |
