Organosilicon compounds (I) and (II) containing a thioether or polysulfide group are new. Organosilicon compounds of formulae (I) and (II), containing a thioether or polysulfide group, are new. R = Me or Et; each R' = 9-30C monovalent alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl or 2-30C alkylether or alkylpolyether group or R'''3Si; R''' = 1-30C alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or aryl; R'' = 1-30C (un)saturated aliphatic, aromatic or mixed aliphatic/aromatic hydrocarbyl group; X = sulfur; n = 2; and m = 1-10 or their mixtures. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for preparing (I) or (II) by reacting the corresponding compound (III) that has three OR groups with R'-OH; and (2) rubber mixture comprising rubber, filler, optionally other rubber additives, and (I) or (II).
