Nondestructive method for testing a component as well as method to produce a gas turbine blade

The non-destructive testing method involves determining regions (9) of the component (5) that have become degraded by using an eddy current measurement, whereby at least two different measurement frequencies are used for the eddy current measurement and the component and the regions do not contain any ferromagnetic materials. Degraded regions are formed by oxidized carbide regions close to the surface. AN Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a gas turbine blade.
