<p>A vehicle anti-theft device comprises: a housing (2); a pair of arcuate members (1,3) which in a stowed state of the device are retained within the housing (2) and which to reach an operative state can move so as to protrude from the housing (2) in opposite directions, each arcuate member (1,3) being adapted to enclose a part of the rim of a steering wheel so that the combination of the housing (2) and the protruding arcuate members (1,3) will enclose, from a driver's viewpoint, an entire steering wheel on which the device is mounted; a bar (4) movable between a stowed position within the housing (2) and an operative position in which it protrudes beyond the housing (2) so as to provide an obstacle to rotation of a steering wheel on which the device may be mounted, and a lock (17) for locking the bar in its operative position. <IMAGE></p> |
