<p>Panel (2) for attaching to adjacent panels by a tongue and groove connection has on one long side and one short side a groove (4) defined by a front and a rear groove-defining arm (6, 7) and on the opposite-lying long and short sides a corresponding tongue (5). The tongues protrude from an adjacent strip-like edge region of the panel which is recessed in the form of a step relative to the front surface of an inner panel region lying within the edge region and lies flush with the inner panel region on the rear side. The edge region is provided with at least one row of holes having several through holes distributed over its length. Preferred Features: A base body forming the inner panel region is made of solid wood and/or is at least veneered on the visible side.</p> |
