The temperature sensor assembly (11) has a rectangular channel (30) through which the fluid flows. Temperature sensors (14) are arranged as elongated rods or strips (12) which extend downward from the roof of the channel. They are mounted on a support plate (13) with a temperature sensor (15). A temperature sensor may be mounted upstream and downstream of a heater.
