<p>A method and machine (1) whereby a continuous-thread disk element (2) from which to form composite materials is formed by winding a thread (6) of reinforcing material about an axis (17) to form a flat coil (4) having a number of turns (5), and by locking the turns (5) with respect to one another by means of binding threads (8) wound about each turn (5); the turns (5) being equally spaced with a given spacing by forming, simultaneously with the formation of the coil (4), a further two flat coils (42)(43) of spacer thread (40)(41), which are removed from the reinforcing-thread coil (4) once the binding threads (8) are wound about the turns (5). <IMAGE> <IMAGE></p> |
