PURPOSE: A reciprocating compressor is provided to cut down manufacturing cost and reduce the size of a rear frame and a casing by forming a spring support bar easily with crossing a front resonant spring over a rear resonant spring and by exposing a vertical spring installation part with cutting the rear frame partially, and to increase efficiency of the compressor by radiating heat conveniently. CONSTITUTION: A reciprocating compressor comprises a frame unit elastically supported and installed in a casing; a motor fixed to the frame unit to generate driving force linearly; a compression unit supported in the frame unit to suck and compress fluid with a cylinder and a piston; and a resonant spring unit combined between the frame unit and a mover of the motor to guide resonance of the mover and the piston of the compression unit, and composed of a front resonant spring(152) placed between one side of the connection portion and the side of the motor or one side of the frame unit and a rear resonant spring(153) placed between the other side of the connection portion and the inside of the frame unit. Spring installation parts(151A,151B) are crossed and arranged radially in the spring support bar to support the front resonant spring and the rear resonant spring.
