METHOD FOR DISPLAYING COLOR IMAGE IN DELTA STRUCTURE DISPLAY AND ITS APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method for displaying a color image in a delta structure display and its apparatus are provided to improve resolution and to reduce color fringe generated in sub-pixel rendering. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for displaying a color image in a display device, a scaling filter used to make an input image coincide with a resolution of the display device is constituted(301). A representative value of a sub-pixel of the display device corresponding to an area processed by the scaling filter among the input image is obtained(302). A value of the sub-pixel is obtained on the basis of a difference between pixels of the area among the input image(303). A gamma correction is performed as to the value of the sub-pixel so that the value of the sub-pixel is appropriate for the display device(304). And the value of the sub-pixel is displayed on the display device(305).
