APPARATUS FOR DETECTING EAR JACK PLUG CONNECTION

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting ear jack plug connection is provided to detect not only mono ear jack plug connection but also stereo ear jack plug connection without increasing the number of ports of an ear jack itself. CONSTITUTION: According to the apparatus for detecting connection of a mono and stereo ear jack plug, an ear jack plug connection part(300) comprises a microphone port where a microphone signal is inputted according as the ear jack plug is inserted into an ear jack hole and the first port through which the ear jack plug is connected with the microphone port. A transistor(Q1) outputs a logic signal of the first logic state and the second logic state according to the connection of the microphone port and the first port. And a comparator(310) compares the first voltage level corresponding to the first logic state and the second voltage level corresponding to the second logic state with a reference voltage and then outputs a result signal corresponding to the insertion of the ear jack plug.
