PURPOSE: An initial position adjusting device of a piston for a reciprocating compressor is provided to increase the productivity and adjust the initial position of the piston conveniently without assembling and disassembling by adjusting compression of a resonant spring with moving a spring base with a position adjusting bolt. CONSTITUTION: A reciprocating compressor includes a frame unit mounting two or more frames in a casing; a reciprocating motor having an outer stator and an inner stator fixed in the frame unit, and a mover linearly reciprocating between inner and outer stators; a compression unit having a cylinder inserted to the inner stator, and a piston sucking and compressing fluid with linearly reciprocating in the cylinder; and a resonant spring unit guiding resonance of the compression unit with supporting resonant springs in the spring support bar and the frame. A position adjusting bolt(120) is combined with an assembling hole(23a) of each rear frame(23), and the assembling depth is adjusted to adjust the position of the piston by regulating compressive force of the resonant spring.
