An applicance, e.g. a circuit breaker or a switch, contains two push-buttons 1, 2, each of which controls a different operation, the total cross-section of the two buttons being circular (Fig. 2.) On depressing button 1, with subsequent displacement of button 2, a rod 4 housed in button 1 and connected to a lock of the appliance causes the circuit to make. A fixed abutment 7 limits depression of button 1. On depressing button 2, it abuts a lever 8 to break the circuit, and buttons 2 and 1 are returned to their, original positions by a spring 9. Buttons 1, 2 are mounted in a single opening in a panel 11 by a barrel 3 and a nut 12.</p> |
