MISS CONVERGENCE CORRECTING APPARATUS HAVING PROTECTION FUNCTION IN DEFLECTION YOKE

PURPOSE: A miss convergence correcting apparatus having a protection function in a deflection yoke is provided to prevent currents from flowing only to a variable resistor when a coma free coil is shorted. CONSTITUTION: A miss convergence correcting apparatus comprises a first and a second coma free coils(51,52) connected electrically in serial to a main part of a vertical coil, an YHC miss convergence adjustor, a first and a second coils, and a protecting resistor. The YHC miss convergence adjustor is connected in parallel to the first and the second coma free coils and controls currents flowing to the first and the second coma free coils for controlling a miss convergence on a screen. The protection resistor is connected in parallel to the first and the second coma coils for controlling currents flowing to the YHC miss convergence adjustor when one of the first and the second coma coils is shorted.
