PURPOSE: To obtain a metal working oil composition which has satisfactory removability, can dispense with the subsequent cleaning step in various working operations such as plastic forming, cutting, and grinding, and is especially suited for use in the working of stainless-steel materials, surface-treated steel plates, and aluminum materials. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises a base oil having a 90% distillation temp. of 150-450 deg.C, a 6-30C linear olefin, a carboxylic acid ester of a monohydric aliphatic alcohol, and a phosphorus compound, the amounts of the olefin and the ester and that of the phosphorus compound in terms of phosphorus being 0.05-99.9wt.%, 0.01-20wt.%, and 10-1,000ppm, respectively, based on the whole composition. |
