PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for switching the output of a ring signal in a mobile communication terminal are provided to switch a bell sound to a vibration in case that a peripheral noise is higher than a uniform level when using the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal control module(100b) embedded in a body(100a) of a mobile communication terminal(100) collectively controls a call progress process, and outputs a ring signal according to a power level measured from a peripheral noise. A ring signal output module(80) embedded in the body(100a) measures the peripheral noise degree from a terminal control unit(10). If the corresponding noise degree is greater than a threshold value, the ring signal output module(80) extracts certain vibration display information and transmits vibration display information to a vibration motor(107) through the terminal control unit(10).
