The present invention relates to communication between an on-site controller and a remote data processing unit that associate with a utility commodity system. The remote unit is provided with a connection to a telecommunications system that provides wireless communication for mobile stations. The mobile stations are also enabled to communicate with a wireless module that associates with the controller. In accordance with the disclosed method it is detected that a mobile station is located such that it is possible to establish a wireless link between the wireless module and said mobile station. Upon detection of the possibility for the link, information is transmitted between the controller and the remote unit via a first wireless link between the wireless module and the mobile station and a second wireless link between the mobile station and the wireless telecommunication system. The mobile station is adapted to act as a gateway between the first and second wireless links. |
