FIELD: nuclear power engineering; locking fuel elements in reactor core. SUBSTANCE: distance between support grid butt-end second along coolant flow and first spacer grid butt-end first along coolant flow is chosen for proposed fuel assembly between 0.0633 L and 0.0655 L. Distance between transverse axes of adjacent spacer grids is 0.131 L to 0.135 L. Spacer grid height is chosen between 7,85.10-3L and 11,78.10-3L. Guide channels are rigidly fixed to spacer grids through intermediate bushings. The latter are disposed in respective subchannels of spacer grids. Radius of curvilinear surface cross-sectional area at boss apex of spacer grid is chosen between 4.32 and 5.64 mm. Ratio of curvilinear surface cross-sectional area radius at boss apex to transfer radius from curvilinear surface to flat face at boss apex is 1.92 to 3.27. Ratio of curvilinear surface radius in spacer grid butt-end plane to transfer radius from curvilinear surface to flat face in spacer grid butt-end plane is chosen between 1.08 and 49.21.
