PURPOSE: To analogically detect an amount of liquid(ink) in a liquid storage part. CONSTITUTION: In the liquid storage container, a reflector 30 is set at a face formed in a height direction from a bottom part inside a liquid storage chamber 45 of an ink tank 7. The reflector 30 is formed by a light transmissive member in which a plurality of roof-shaped mirrors 34 each with two reflecting faces set by predetermined angles are arranged in one direction. A detector(not shown in Fig.) comprising a set of a point light source(light emitting element) 31 and a light receiving element 32 is fixed to a point opposite to a side part of the ink tank 7 where the reflector 30 is disposed.
