Gene encoding a protein having activity of transferring sugar onto aurone

A gene encoding a protein that has an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO:2 and 8 to 10 and has an activity of transferring a glycosyl group to aurones is described. Also described are nucleic acids encoding the protein, vectors, non-human host cells transformed with the vectors, methods of producing a protein having activity of transferring a glycosyl group to aurones. A method of stabilizing aurones in a plant body is also described.
