FIELD: maintenance of telephone communication lines. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention deals with assembly of multipair electric cables by way of simultaneous crimping of aggregate of insulated current conducting conductors of multipair communication cables with the help of reducing ( cut-in ) contacts. Tool comprises pressing mechanism including pressure element interacting with connector, transfer mechanism to set pressing mechanism in action and hand lever for action of transfer mechanism, holding framework to house connector that is joined to press mechanism. Holding framework is provided with set of auxiliary devices comprising interchangeable guiding combs and separable universal adapter which are meant to set one or several connectors with total capacitance of 25 pairs in holding frame. Adapter presents guiding plate with fixing elements used to anchor it in holding framework along which teeth are arranged. Number of teeth is determined by quantity and number of mated pairs. Tool comprises assembly fixture in the form of split assembly frame comprising two adjacent strips, central attachment unit and L-shaped bed ensuring vertical and horizontal movement of holding framework in process of assembly. Press mechanism has hydraulic principle of action, and punch returns to initial position by opening of valve coupled to drain valve. ^ EFFECT: versatility of tool, operational convenience and economic efficiency. ^ 6 cl, 19 dwg, 1 tbl |
