PURPOSE: An optical connection shelf for ribbon optical fiber cable is provided to apply efficiently the ribbon optical fiber cable by using a multiple-core fiber division type optical cord. CONSTITUTION: An optical connection shelf for ribbon optical fiber cable includes a slide(2), a connection tray(3), a branch loading part(4), a storage mandrel(5), a single optical cord guide(6), and a distribution plate(7). The slide(2) has a structure of drawer. A plurality of folding doors are installed at a front end and a rear end of the slide. An inlet is formed at the rear end of the slide. The connection tray(3) is installed on a bottom of the inside of the slide in order to connect a ribbon type optical fiber of an external optical fiber cable to a ribbon type optical fiber of a multiple-core fiber division type optical cord. The branch loading part(4) is installed on one side of the connection tray. The storage mandrel(5) is installed nearly to the branch loading part. The single optical cord guide(6) is installed between the branch loading part and the storage mandrel in order to maintain the curvature of the branched single core type optical fiber. The distribution plate(7) is used for couple the branched single core type optical fiber to an external optical jumper cord.
