PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data display system, device and method hardly causing such a problem as providing display on an unintended display device by mistake. SOLUTION: The data display system has a personal computer (PC) 1 connected to a network to transmit display data, and projectors 2-4 receiving the data transmitted from the PC 1 to display images. The PC 1 selects the projector on which it is desired to display images, and transmits information specifying the selected projector, together with data about the advance notice of starting data transmission. Each of the projectors 2-4 receives the data transmitted from the PC 1. When the projector selected based on the data received is detected as a component of the system, it is notified that transmission of display data is started. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
