摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating the throughput of a content distribution server capable of experimentally deriving a predetermined measurement in advance and estimating distribution throughput based on the measurement when requirements are changed; a server; and a program. SOLUTION: When the speeds of reads from a hard disk affect the distribution throughput, the relationship among the size of contents, the number of the read portions of the hard disk and the distribution throughput is measured in advance. Based on memory size, the contents size, the number of accesses for requesting distribution, and the intervals of the accesses, the number of the read portions of the hard disk is derived and the speeds of reads from the read portions of the hard disk are derived using the relationship. A value obtained when an average read speed obtained by dividing the total of the speeds of reads from the hard disk by the number of the read portions is multiplied by the number of simultaneous accesses is derived as the throughput of the server.
