PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatuses which have simplified configurations with low power consumption for a detecting apparatus and a remote control transmitter used for various electronic devices. SOLUTION: It is possible to obtain the apparatuses which have simplified configurations with low power consumption by constituting the detecting apparatus so that a controller 14 shifts to a dormant state of a low power consumption state if a switch 13 is not operated for a predetermined time, and then, a detecting part 16 detects keying signals and outputs a seizure signal to the controller 14, and the controller shifts to a seizure state if the switch 13 is operated after shifting to the dormant state.
