PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator that uses a yoke whose eddy current loss is small and can be manufactured at a low cost, as well as a pump device and a compressor device using the same. SOLUTION: A linear actuator 1 comprises an inner yoke 3, an outer yoke constituting first and second gaps 6 and 7 with the inner yoke 3, and a moving body 5 provided with a flat magnet 9 in the gaps 6 and 7. Related to the outer yoke 4, a plurality of magnetic thin plates 40 whose cross section is press-worked into U-shape are laminated form the inside to the outside. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
