PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformation-quantity limiter for a base-isolation bearing device surely limiting a displacement in the horizontal direction of the base-isolation bearing device for a building in the case of an earthquake or the like within a fixed range or applying force in the restoration direction to the building and a building bearing structure adopting the limiter. SOLUTION: The deformation-quantity limiter 10 is installed so as to connect a foundation 1 and a sill 2 for the building. The deformation-quantity limiter 10 is composed of a chain 11 stretched between the foundation 1 and the sill 2 in a U shape and a rubber 12 covering the chain 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
