PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing tetracyclododecene by which a product having a constant composition is obtained and a purification step is stabilized by a simple apparatus and method by regulating a feed rate of ethylene, norbornene and a cyclopentadiene derivative, and carrying out a Diels-Alder reaction. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tetracyclododecene comprises mixing the norbornene in a liquid state and the cyclopentadiene derivative in a liquid state while regulating the weight ratio thereof so as to be constant by flow meters to afford a mixed liquid, bringing the ethylene in a gas state into contact with the mixed liquid while regulating the feed pressure of the ethylene in the gas state so that the pressure of the gas phase of the mixture comprising the norbornene, the cyclopentadiene derivative and the ethylene may be a desired value to regulate the proportion of the ethylene in the mixture, and feeding the mixture to a Diels-Alder reactor.
