PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency oscillator for restricting the radiation of electromagnetic waves by a large amount. SOLUTION: In the high frequency oscillator, an oscillator is mounted on the upper face of a nearly rectangular substrate, the oscillator is covered with a sealing member, and an input electrode and an output electrode connected electrically to the oscillator and a ground electrode connected to the ground potential are provided. A ground wiring layer connected to the ground electrode is applied to all the side faces of the substrate, and the applied area of the ground wiring layer to the side faces is 30% or larger of the total area of the side faces.
