摘要 The invention relates to a method for the production of an artificial polypeptide with at least one detectable function, and an artificial protein produced by said method with at least one detectable function. According to the method, the amino acid sequences of at least three known polypeptides are firstly arranged next to each other such as to provide a coincidence of invariable amino acids or similar regions for all polypeptides, preferably as high as possible, optionally by introduction of gaps. An average sequence is determined by means of said comparison of the positions of the selected amino acid sequences. For expression of the polypeptide and for detection of the desired function, firstly an artificial nucleic acid sequence, coding for the determined average sequence, is generated and at least one corresponding nucleic acid molecule synthesised. Said nucleic acid molecule is bonded to a promoter and the polypeptide expressed in a suitable system. Said method also leads to a novel completely functional polypeptide or protein having the desired properties.
