Composition comprising collagen and a reversibly deformable carrier matrix is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) production of the composition mixing an uncrosslinked liquid elastomer starting material with a liquid collagen starting material and crosslinking the elastomer starting material; (2) motion-damping device comprising a composition as above or a liquid-containing mixture interspersed with collagen.
