摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum encryption communication method capable of transmitting information of 2-bits with one photon. <P>SOLUTION: One bit by a polarization state and one bit by a lateral mode are encoded per one photon. When the polarization is a linearly polarized light, a horizontal polarized light is set to '0' and a vertical polarized light is set to '1'. When the polarization is a circularly polarized light, a counterclockwise polarized light is set to '0' and a clockwise polarized light is set to '1'. When the lateral mode is Hermitian Gaussian mode, a horizontal arrangement is set to '0' and a vertical arrangement is set to '1'.
