<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter which mixedly mounts bus connections and link connections in optical connections between a plurality of nodes. <P>SOLUTION: A master node #0 and a plurality of slave nodes #1-#N are interconnected through a plurality of optical couplers 20. Each node is controlled so as to transmit signals through the optical coupler by the bus connection and the link connection between the nodes. The master node transmits bit signals corresponding to the number of slave nodes at a link connection mode.
