SPRING BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE CALIPER DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration capable of reliably detecting a fact that a spring brake is in an operational state due to air leakage in a brake cylinder by means of a pressure switch in a brake caliper device equipped with a spring brake cylinder.

SOLUTION: The spring brake cylinder 20 provided to the brake caliper device includes a cylinder case 20a and a piston 20b dividing an internal space of the cylinder case 20a into a spring chamber 20f and an air pressure chamber 20e. The cylinder case 20a is provided with a opening 20j on an internal wall so as to communicate the internal space with the pressure switch 27, and configured so as that the opening 20j faces the air pressure chamber 20e when the spring brake is in a release state and the spring chamber 20f when the spring brake is in the operational state. The cylinder case 20a is provided with an atmosphere hole 20h for maintaining the spring chamber 20f at atmospheric pressure.
