<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of eliminating soil and the like attached to a surface of a contact or a surface of a pat of a flexible printed board. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 12 of the connector 10 has a bottom wall 16 and a pair of side walls having a groove part 22. An opening width B of the groove part 22 has a dimension equal to the total thickness of a reinforcement plate F and the flexible printed board W1. A projection 26 is formed on one end of the groove part 22. The contact 14 is exposed on the bottom wall 16 at its contact part 28. Both ends at a side free from the reinforcement plate F of the flexible printed board W1 is inserted into the groove part of the connector 10, and further drawn out from the connector 10, whereby the flexible printed board W1 is advanced to the bottom wall 16 of the connector 10 in a state that the pad P1 is slid on the bottom wall 16 of the connector 10, a tip of the reinforcement plate F is brought into contact with the projection 26, and the flexible printed board W1 is positioned and fixed to the connector 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
