PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control system for a vehicle capable of precisely discriminating whether writing of a final angle position fails or not upon termination of a last time vehicle driving operation. SOLUTION: A write completion information storage part 115 capable of switching the memory content between a first memory condition and a second memory condition which indicate completion/failure of writing of the final angle position into the final angle position storage part 115, is provided on the steering control part 100 and the final angle position is written into the final angle position storage part 115 upon termination of vehicle driving operation. Moreover, corresponding to this, the memory content of the write completion information storage part 115 is set as the first memory condition. At the time of starting of next time vehicle driving operation, the steering control part 100 judges whether the final angle position stored in the final angle position storage part 115 is a right value or not by referring to the memory content of the write completion information memorizing part. It determines whether the final angle position is adopted as an initial angle position or not.
