PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control system for a vehicle which controls an actuator for driving a steering shaft with two CPUs, and improves data communication accuracy between these two CPUs with a simple system. SOLUTION: Contents and switching sequence of data ID for specifying each block are defined so that a pair of bits where a level mutually switches in an opposite direction may surely be intermingled, when the preceding data ID is switched to the following data ID in the case of the data transfer. When such a pair of bits exists and noise having same level tendency is superimposed, the noise acts so as to negate the change of regular bit level to the bit of one side, and the change of level of a pair of bits in the opposite direction is lost. The fault that the content of the ID bit after noise superimposition happens to correspond to the another data ID, hardly causes by defining the contents and switching sequence of the data ID so that ID switching may not exist which a pair of bits showing the change of level in the opposite direction does not occur, and the influence of noise can be effectively eliminated.
