PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular wire that effective electron transportation is realized by enforcing an electronic interaction with an electrode and of which the number of molecular wires on an electrode is controllable. SOLUTION: A molecular wire is a conductive molecule having a porphyrin based metal complex that has functional group at the end that can couple with conductors. The porphyrins type metal complex that is a coupling part of the molecular wire with conductors couples so as to occupy the surface of the conductor as a molecular jack part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
