PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouthpiece of a brass instrument, such as a trumpet, which is easy to blow and can generate satisfactory tone quality. SOLUTION: A satin finish face consisting of fine countless irregularities is formed on areas where the lips of a player come in touch with, that is, the outer peripheral surface 11 of a rim, the front 12 of the rim and the inner surface 13 of a cup. Thereby, the mouthpiece can give a good feeling to the lips, prevent the slipping of the lips and prevent the shift of the lips of the player so that mistakes during a musical performance is avoided as much as possible and relaxes the fatigue of the performance.
